Conditions

• Open dated vouchers for 1-3 persons are valid for studio units only.
• When accommodation is pre-booked this will be regarded as a guaranteed booking. If you do not cancel the motel by 4.00pm 24 hours prior to the intended date of stay and "No Shows", a penalty will not be able to use that voucher for another nights stay.
• One and Two Bedroom units must be pre-booked and are subject to availability. No open voucher freewheeling option. Note: Not all participating Motels have 2 Bedroom units available.
• For all Golden Chain Blue properties in Ohakune and Queenstown, there is no winter rate – the summer rate applies 01 May 2008 to 30 Sep 2008 and 01 May 200 to 30 September 2009. Open-dated vouchers issued for stays between these periods will be endorsed a surcharge applies in Queenstown and Ohakune.
• Surcharge - for all Golden Chain Blue & Gold properties in Franz Josef & Fox Glacier from 01 Oct 2008 – 30 Apr 2009 an additional surcharge of NZ$20.00 per room per night will be charged. Pre-booked reservations the surcharge will be collected at time of booking but open dated vouchers will have the surcharge collected directly by the hotel/motel.

Golden Chain Breakfast Rates:

• Rates Valid: 01 May 2010 - 30 September 2012
• Continental Breakfast: $18.00 NZD per person
• Cooked Breakfast: $25.00 NZD per person
• Breakfasts are available for clients travelling on either pre booked or open dated accommodation vouchers.
• Pre booking is optional and there is no minimum number of breakfasts required to purchase.
• A separate breakfast voucher is required for each morning - stating the number of cooked or continental breakfasts.
• We do not guarantee that breakfasts are available at every participating property please refer to the accommodation directory for further details. Each property has individual policies on breakfast times and availability, it is recommended that clients with breakfast vouchers reconfirm with the property on arrival.

Accommodation Upgrades;

• Freewheeling clients have the option of paying the following retail surcharges to upgrade on arrival to New Zealand. These upgrades are payable direct.
• Blue to Gold Upgrade: If a Blue Voucher is presented at a Gold motel, a surcharge of NZ$20 per room, per night will be charged. If you have a Gold motel pass vouchers and stay in a Blue category motel, there will be no refund.
• One Bedroom Unit Upgrade: Clients travelling throughout New Zealand on open dated single/double/twin vouchers are subject to a surcharge of NZ $ 20.00 payable direct in addition to their voucher if a one bedroom unit is supplied.
