Itinerary

North Island: 7 days / 6 nights - Auckland to Auckland

Day 1: Auckland

Arrive in Auckland and be met by our local representative and shown to your rental car before driving to your hotel for two nights in the city. If you have time, visit the Eden Gardens then enjoy a spectacular view from Mount Eden Summit.

Day 2: Auckland

Visit Auckland's central city Museum and Winter Gardens in the Domain or visit other gardens of interest including the Parnell Rose Gardens and the Auckland Botanical Gardens in Manurewa.

Day 3: Auckland - Whangarei

This morning you will make your way to Whangarei. On the way, visit the Kauri Museum in Matakohe or visit the Waipu Caves for a short walk through this glowworm cave.

Day 4: Whangarei - Paihia

On your way to Paihia, take a detour to Tutukaka and Matapuori, enjoying coastal scenery along Oakura Bay and Whangaruru. Visit local historic venues and landmarks along the way.

Day 5: Paihia - Whangarei

Today, take a scenic drive up to Kaitaia, through Whangaroa, Taupo Bay, and to Kaitaia. After lunch, head back to Whangarei. You may also choose to enjoy the Poor Knight's Island reserve, for dives, walks or a cruise to the Hole in the Rock. Spend the evening enjoying Whangarei's fine restaurants, and relaxed atmosphere.

Day 6: Whangarei - Auckland

Today, head back to Auckland, and enjoy the afternoon in Auckland for additional sightseeing.

Day 7: Auckland

After checking out from the hotel, your tour arrangements conclude with the return of your rental car to the airport or depot.
