Itinerary

North Island: 7 days / 6 nights - Auckland to Wellington

Day 1: Auckland

Arrive in Auckland and be met by our local representative and shown to your rental car before driving to your hotel for two nights in the city. Visit the Kelly Tarlton's Underwater World and Antarctic Encounter, or Auckland's Museum and Winter Gardens at the Auckland Domain Drive up Mt Eden Summit for spectacular views of Auckland.

Day 2: Auckland

Today, explore what the ‘City of Sails’ has to offer and start the day with a harbour cruise. Some of New Zealand's top wineries are within an hour's drive from Auckland. Enjoy a golf game, visits to feature galleries and museums, or head out to the visit the wild West Coast beaches.

Day 3: Auckland - Rotorua

This morning, travel to Rotorua via an alternative route via the port city of Tauranga and see the lovely beaches of Mt Maunganui before continuing onto Rotorua Visit famous thermal reserves, or indulge in an afternoon spa, mud baths or relax soaking in one of Rotorua's renowned natural hot springs. Enjoy the evening with a cultural performance and traditional hangi meal.

Day 4: Rotorua - Napier

Today you will make your way South West towards New Zealand's famous Hawke's Bay. You can stop by Taupo on the way, New Zealands largest lake. Continue onto Napier in time for a visit at one of Hawke's Bay's best wineries for a tour, and enjoy dining al fresco afterwards.

Day 5: Napier - Martinborough

After an Art Deco tour of the city, head southward towards Martinborough for the evening. Wineries to see on the way include Sileni and Craggy Range.

Day 6: Martinborough- Wellington

Take the morning in to enjoy the lovely Martinborough township before a short one hour drive into Wellington. You will be staying in the capital city for your last night, so enjoy the lovely restaurants and vibrant night-life that Wellington has to offer.

Day 7: Wellington

After checking out from the hotel, your tour arrangements conclude with the return of your rental car to the airport or depot.
