South Island: 7 days / 6 nights - Christchurch to Christchurch

Day 1: Arrive Christchurch

Arrive at Christchurch Airport and uplift you rental car before driving into the city to stay one night. In the afternoon you could discover the wonder sights of this garden city, including the attractions such as the Christchurch Gondola, the International Antarctic Centre, and the brand new Christchurch Art Gallery or a view of the city from the Cashmere Hills.

Day 2: Christchurch - Dunedin

Head south today down the coast through Timaru and onto Dunedin. Dunedin is the home of the steepest street in the world, Otago University and the Cadbury chocolate factory, which you can take tours of.

Day 3: Dunedin - Queenstown

A leisurely morning for you, as you drive the scenic route to Queenstown. You can also take a slight alternative route and travel via one of the world's southern-most cities, Invercargill. Continue your journey onto the adventure capital of New Zealand, Queenstown for two nights

Day 4: Queenstown

Today you have an unlimited range of options to choose from today. Take a day trip to Milford Sound, bungy jump, jet boat up the Shotover river or just enjoy the great shopping and eateries Queenstown has to offer. Be sure to head up the Gondola for a spectacular view of Lake Waikatipu.

Day 5: Queenstown - Fox Glacier

In the morning take a leisurely drive back from Queenstown to Fox Glacier Josef. In the afternoon take a walk or tour to this spectacular Glacier. You will be staying in Fox Glacier for the night.

Day 6: Fox Glacier - Punakaiki - Christchurch

Head off in the morning north through coastal mining towns of Hokitika and Greymouth to view the famous Punakaiki pancake rocks and blow holes. After this, head back east through Arthurs Pass to Christchurch for the evening.

Day 7: Christchurch

After checking out from the hotel, your tour arrangements conclude with the return of your rental car to the airport or depot.
