Itinerary

South Island: 10 days / 9 nights - Christchurch to Christchurch

Day 1: Christchurch - Hanmer Springs

Arrive at Christchurch Airport and be met by our local representative and shown to your rental car before driving north to the wonderful Hanmer Springs.

Day 2: Hanmer Springs

Relax at Hanmer Springs, by heading for the thermal reserve to soak in the naturally heated pools - or treat yourself to a range of indulgent spa's.

Day 3: Hanmer Springs - Franz Josef

Drive West towards Greymouth then down the West Coast to Franz Joseph Glacier where you will stay at the Franz Joseph Glacier Country Retreat.

Day 4: Franz Josef - Wanaka

Continue your drive South down the West Coast through Fox Glacier, Haast and onto Lake Wanaka for a night.

Day 5: Wanaka - Queenstown

A short drive over the Crown Range into majestic Queenstown for two nights at the fantastic Millbrook Resort.

Day 6: Queenstown

Ride the Gondola to the top of the Skyline for magnificent views of Lake Wakatipu. Then treat yourself to an activity from bungy jumping, jet boating, lake excursions, skiing or even a round of golf at your resort to name a few.

Day 7: Queenstown - Mt Cook

Head North East to Aoraki/Mt Cook, the tallest mountain in New Zealand located in the Southern Alps.

Day 8: Mt Cook

Head off in the morning for a 3 hour glacier boat tour of the glacier. In the afternoon relax, or take in a scenic flight, visit the museum or go for an alpine walk.

Day 9: Mt Cook - Christchurch

Drive onto the garden city of Christchurch, staying in the centre of town. Stroll the city on foot, by tram or explore the beaches and hills in your car.

Day 10: Christchurch

After check out from the hotel your arrangements conclude with the return of your rental car to the airport or depot.
