Payment for your New Zealand Self Drive Holiday
A deposit of 10% of the total cost of your booking, subject to a minimum of NZ$100.00 is required once you confirm you would
like to proceed with booking. The balance is then payable at least 30 days prior to the first day of your New Zealand itinerary.
If a booking is made within 30 days of the first day of your New Zealand itinerary, full payment is required at the time of booking.
Layby Payments for your New Zealand Holiday
You can also pay your New Zealand holiday off lay by, making as many multiple payments to suit your financial situation with the final payment made 30 days prior to travel. There is no extra cost to lay-by your travel. So you can secure your travel now and pay later.
Amendments and cancellations
Any amendments to confirmed bookings will incur an administration fee of NZ$20.00 per individual change.
If travel documents have already been prepared the amendment fee is NZ$50.00 per individual change. If for any reason you choose to cancel
any part or all of your holiday, the following cancellation fees are applicable: more than 30 days prior to your arrival in New Zealand:
10%, 7-30 days prior to your arrival: 40%; less than 7 days: 100%.
We recommend that you obtain personal travel insurance to cover cancellation fees. If you need a quote for this, please ask.
All arrangements are strictly subject to availability at the time of booking. Due to peak season demands from November through to March,
early booking is recommended.
Limitation of Liability
Southern Travelnet (NZ) Ltd does not accept any liability for failure, act or omission on the part of transportation companies,
accommodation providers, sightseeing providers or other principals. Furthermore the responsibility of principals participating in the
programme is limited as specified in their tickets, conditions of contract, conditions of carriage and tariffs.
Southern Travelnet (NZ) Ltd and the principals concerned accept no responsibility for losses or additional expenses due to
delays or changes in trains, buses, ferry or other transport services, sickness, weather, strikes, war, quarantine or other causes.
Any such loss or expense is the responsibility of the passenger.
If a pre-paid activity is cancelled by the supplier due to poor weather conditions Southern Travelnet will issue a full refund.
All payment transactions are conducted in New Zealand dollars. Due to exchange rate fluctuations there could be some variance in the amount
refunded compared to the amount initially charged. Southern Travelnet do not accept any liability for loss due to fluctuations in foreign exchange rates.

- Rental car fuel charges or airport surcharges
- Domestic or International Airfares
- Parking at hotels/motels
- Any additional services or items not included in the above itinerary
- Pre registration or late check out of rooms
- Personal items
- Personal insurance
- Meals unless specified on the itinerary
